Shane is 1 year, 11 months, and 30 days old today...

Shane's speech therapist, Amy, came over today for the first time in 2 weeks since Shane fell ill.  It was a lot of fun to see him interacting with her again, and she could definitely tell that he has improved in his vocabulary.  Kyle of course always likes to join in, and today was no exception.  Following her departure we took a trip to Santa Maria to buy a birthday present for Shane who turns 2 tomorrow.  We got what he has been wanting for quite some time - Toy Story related of course - you'll find out tomorrow, surprise for now!  Then a trip to the new Mexican food store in Santa Maria called Vallarta.  Wow!  Definitely made me nostalgic for Delano as I remember spending many preparation days at Ranch Market during my 6 months there.  Not always a huge fan of Mexican food, I will be the first to admit that much of it looked (and smelled) quite good.  I can see myself stopping by again.  Tricia definitely enjoyed the store more than I did due to her immense love for Mexican varieties.  Supper.....italian sausages on the braai (bbq for those Americans who read this), cheesy mashed potatoes (my own concoction), green peas.  Mmmm!
